SynthID is invisible. Understanding where it lives is the first step to understanding what this tool does.

A few things
worth knowing.
Straight answers about SynthID removal, images and video.
About Google SynthIDWhat is a SynthID watermark?
SynthID is Google DeepMind’s invisible watermarking technology. It embeds a machine-readable signal into content made or edited with supported Google AI tools. In images, the signal is part of the image content, rather than a visible logo or a simple file metadata field.
How do I remove SynthID from an image?
Choose a JPEG, PNG or WebP image, start the image remover, and download the processed file when it is ready. Review its appearance and check it in Gemini.
Can I remove SynthID from Gemini or Imagen images?
MetaGhost’s SynthID Remover is designed for the invisible Google AI watermark found in supported Gemini and Imagen output. Detection and processing results depend on the source file. A visible Gemini sparkle and Content Credentials are separate from the SynthID signal.
Does MetaGhost remove SynthID from video?
Yes. SynthID image and video processing is available in the MetaGhost desktop application. Add your files, choose an output folder and run the process. The online trial on this page is for images; use the desktop application for video files.
Will my image look exactly the same?
Processing can change fine image details. Review the downloaded file at full size, especially text, faces and intricate textures. A successful download is not an independent verification of watermark removal, so check the result with a compatible detector as well.
Can cropping or deleting metadata remove SynthID?
SynthID is designed to withstand common edits such as cropping, resizing and compression. Removing EXIF metadata or a visible logo does not specifically remove the embedded SynthID signal. These are different layers of a media file.
Is the online image trial free?
Yes. You can try the image remover online for free, without an account. For regular use and video processing, explore MetaGhost for desktop.
What does “SynthID not detected” mean?
It means the verifier did not find the Google SynthID signal in that file. It does not prove that the image is human-made, identify every other AI system, or guarantee how other detection tools will respond. Gemini may report Content Credentials separately.
Has the online processing and download workflow been tested?
A real anonymous release check on 20 October 2026 completed one image job in about 22 seconds. Automatic and manual downloads produced identical valid JPEG files. This checks the processing and download workflow. It is not an independent before-and-after SynthID detection experiment, and the duration is not a guarantee. Validation record
